Just got a mail with Shannon Herod’s new WP plugin called WP Update Robot and in the sales video letter he asked the question how much is your peace of mind worth?
Don’t get me wrong here, I truly appreciate Shannon’s work. He does a great job and what he presents to the public is of value. Same it is with this new plugin. Using it can save you precious time and prevent from your sites being hacked.
But this here is not about the plugin itself. It’s about the triggers used by all marketers out there to get their audience and to make sales.
In our loud and noisy world it’s really hard to get people listen to you and understand what you’ve been talking about. Everyone is in a hurry and has to focus on so many things at the same time. All the marketers out there trying to make their sales need a tool that makes people read their sales letters or watch their videos. That’s why they use trigger words and sentences, just like the one mentioned. And there is nothing wrong with that.
But I’d like you to become aware of the power of those words.
How much is your peace of mind worth? 10, 100, 1000, millions? How much your peace of mind is really worth to you? Can you measure it? And if you relate that to a specific offer, can you measure it?
Most people would answer this question with I don’t know or I cannot measure it. And somehow that’s true. But knowing about the triggers makes it easier to discover the real value in an offer. And this does not only relate to today’s marketing tools and habits.
So perhaps you can see now the value in the trigger words themselves and how they can influence you and each one of us when we read those sales letters or watch those videos. Make sure you keep this in mind when the next big push button offer comes along!
